A pilgrimage Lord Shiva 

Shrikhand Mahadev trek is one of the very picturesque and diverse in terms of the landscapes, this trail is also a pilgrim trail that leads to the Shrikhand Mahadev peak (5,227 meters/17,150 ft), named after Lord Shiva. The key attraction of this trek is the breathtaking view of the Great Himalayan ranges, waterfalls and rivulets.

 

Day 00 

Arrival at Chandigarh and drive to Jibhi overnight at Jibhi.

Day 01 

Jibhi- Jalori Pass – Rampur- Bagipulh- Jaon. Trek to Singhgad (6,873 ft); 5-6 hours drive + 3 km trek

Day 2

Singhgad (6,873 ft) to Thachru (11,318 ft)

Day 3

Thachru (11,318 ft) to Kaali Ghat (12,500 ft) to Kunsha (12,200 ft)

Day 4

Kunsha (12,200 ft) to Parvati Baag (13,662 ft)

Day 5

Parvati Baag (13,662 ft) to Nain Sarovar (14,527 ft); return to Parvaat Baag (acclimatisation)

Day 6

Parvati Baag (13,662 ft) to summit (17,150 ft); return to Bhimdwaar.

Day 7

Bhimdwaar (13,662 ft) to Thachru (11,318 ft)

Day 8

Thachru (11,318 ft) to Jaon. Drive back to Jibhi.

Day 9

Departure back to Chandigarh.

Day 00 

Arrival at Chandigarh and drive to Jibhi overnight at Jibhi.

The journey from Chandigarh Airport to Jibhi is a picturesque voyage through the breathtaking landscapes of Himachal Pradesh. Starting from the modern infrastructure of Chandigarh Airport, embark on a scenic route that gradually transitions into the serene charm from the Shivalik hills in to the lesser Himalayas.

As you approach Jibhi, the landscape transforms into a tranquil haven adorned with dense cedar and pine forests, terraced fields, and rustic hamlets. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of pine trees, and the distant sound of chirping birds adds to the peaceful ambiance. Over night at Wilderness Home Jibhi.

Day 01 

Jibhi- Jalori Pass – Rampur- Bagipulh- Jaon. Trek to Singhgad (6,873 ft); 5-6 hours drive + 3 km trek

The day begins after easy breakfast at Jibhi, with an exhilarating adventure through the enchanting landscapes of the inner and outer Seraj of Kullu valley, starting from Jibhi. As the journey unfolds, you will traverse through the rugged terrain towards the majestic Jalori Pass, where nature’s grandeur unfolds in panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. The drive continues towards Historical Rampur, a bustling town nestled amidst the mountains, offering glimpses of local life and culture.

After a fulfilling 5 to 6 hours of driving and a picturesque 3 km trek, you will finally arrive at the serene haven of Singhgad. Overnight at the camp.

Day 2

Singhgad (6,873 ft) to Thachru (11,318 ft)

 

We will be starting the day from the Camp at Singhgad towards Thachru, the trek starts towards Barathi Nalah, situated at 7,283 ft, where two small rivulets converge to form Kurpan River. The 3 km trek to Barathi Nalah unfolds a mesmerizing landscape. Along the path, adventurers may traverse the Kurpan River via a rustic wooden bridge crafted from Deodar tree, amplifying the thrill of communion with nature. A 6-7 km ascent known as Danda Dhaar, demanding 6-8 hours of vigorous trekking. As the trail ascends through dense Deodar forests, the ambiance resonates with the symphony of rivers and waterfalls. The ascent unveils a transformation in vegetation, offering glimpses of the majestic Kullu Himalayas. Scenic cliffs provide panoramic views of the lush forest and meandering rivulets surrounding Danda Dhaar. Thachru, nestled at 11,318 ft, marks the treeline’s culmination, transitioning to herbaceous landscapes. Evenings at Thachru are adorned with vistas of Sarahan and Kotgarh to the South, Shrikhand peak to the East, and the majestic Kullu Himalayas to the West. It serves as an idyllic resting haven after the arduous vertical ascent. Overnight at the camp.

Day 3

Thachru (11,318 ft) to Kaali Ghat (12,500 ft) to Kunsha (12,200 ft)

Taacharu to Kaali Ghat, a straight ascent spanning 3 kilometres that unfolds over 1.5 hours of exploration. Along this scenic route, discover the elusive beauty of rare Himalayan flowers, adorning the path with nature’s intricate wonders. The trail, facing north, boasts a dramatic vista with a deep ditch flanking one side, adding an element of thrill to the adventure.

After an hour’s trek, a serene expanse dotted with imposing boulders unveils itself, offering an intimate panorama of the surrounding mountains. Overnight at the camp

Day 4: Kunsha (12,200 ft) to Parvati Baag (13,662 ft)

The day will start with a beautiful sunrise at the camp and after breakfast we will start the day from Kunsha to Bheem Dwar, a mesmerising day on the trail today the trek that unveils the untouched beauty of the Himalayas.  this trail showcases nature’s splendour with its gentle ups and downs, adorned by rare Himalayan flowers and herbs.

Arriving at Bheem Dwar, nestled at 12,175 feet altitude, one steps into a realm steeped in history and myth. Legend has it that the Pandavas sought refuge in these very lands during their exile, thus lending the place its name. Bheem Dwar, with its sprawling Bugyal, ensconced by waterfalls and glaciers, serves as a sanctuary for pilgrims during the revered Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra each July.

Continuing onwards, a 2-hour trek brings you to Parvati Baag, standing tall at 13,622 feet. The journey to Parvati Baag unfolds with gentle trails until the grand waterfall, followed by a vertical ascent to the mystical destination. It is believed that Mata Parvati once graced this sanctuary, hence its namesake. Parvati Baag is a haven for rare Himalayan flora, including the elusive Brahma Kamal, where one can witness nature’s marvels beneath the sacred Shrikhand Mountain, under the starlit sky, feeling as though one can reach out and touch the heavens above. Overnight at the camp.

Day 5

Parvati Baag (13,662 ft) to Nain Sarovar (14,527 ft); return to Parvaat Baag (acclimatisation)

An easy day exploring around the camp and hike up to Nain Sarovar for acclimatisation. Over night at the camp.

Day 6

Parvati Baag (13,662 ft) to summit (17,150 ft); return to Bhimdwaar.

We will be starting very early today for the camp for an unforgettable journey as we retrace the steps to Nain Sarovar, a pivotal point in the challenging trek to Shrikhand. As the terrain becomes increasingly vertical and steep, adventurers encounter the daunting ascent up a glacier spanning 200 meters, a mere half kilometer but demanding 45 minutes of sheer endurance. At an elevation of 14,967 ft, atop a cliff, the panoramic vista unveils the serene Nain Sarovar Lake, while the majestic Kinnaur Mountains greet the early risers in the morning light.

Venturing forth, the landscape transforms into a rugged terrain of moraines and sporadic snow, punctuated by the ascent of seven petite peaks leading to the sacred grounds of Shrikhand. En route to Bheem Bailee, pilgrims traverse stone tunnels, glaciers, and moraines, each step resonating with the ancient legends of Bheem’s stairway to heaven, immortalized in the stacked stones resembling a celestial ascent.

From Bheem Bailee, the divine Shrikhand Shila emerges, a half-hour trek away, across a formidable glacier. At an elevation of 17,150 ft, Shrikhand reveals nature’s splendor in every breath, offering a panoramic embrace of the Himalayas from all angles. Here, amidst the ethereal beauty, the essence of Lord Shiva permeates, uniting all beings in reverence.

Behold the spectacle of Kinnaur’s grandeur on one side, while the vistas of Kullu and Shimla mountains enchant from the other. As the journey concludes, one returns to Parvati Baag, enriched by the spiritual odyssey through the rugged majesty of Shrikhand, a testament to nature’s timeless allure and divine grace. We will be returning back to Bhimdwaar after the summit and the Darashan of the Holi Shivling

Day 7

Bhimdwaar (13,662 ft) to Thachru (11,318 ft)

Return journey back the same route.

Day 8

Thachru (11,318 ft) to Jaon. Drive back to Jibhi.

Return journey back the same route.

Day 9

Departure back to Chandigarh.

End of the Tour.

Our Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation, We do not refund any amount back but will keep the amount for the same services which you can avail in next three years from your date of check in. (Subject to room availability)

Important Information

1. Extra beds are priced at Rs. 1500/- per night EPAI and consist of a mattress with full linen set on it.
2. We will request you to provide a valid Identity proof for the registration on arrival.
3. We do not have televisions in the rooms, but we have books that can be borrowed from our library.
4. We will request you not to smoke inside the rooms but guests are free to smoke outside the rooms in their private balconies or in the open garden area.
5. Shouting, screaming and abusing is prohibited. We request you not to play any loud electronic music during your stay with us.
6. Indoor games are available on our premises.
7. Free Wi-Fi is available with a speed ranging from 30-35 Mbps.
8. Driver accommodation available on prior notice charged at Rs. 1200 per day inclusive of stay and meals.
9. Please note that we might not be able to accommodate last minute special dietary requests kindly inform us well in advance if you have any special requests.
11. The menu for the meals is pre-decided keeping your preferences in mind. Since all our meals are freshly prepared, we may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests. Please do let us know your food preferences and allergies before your stay.
12. We do not provide room service. Meals are only served in the dining area or in the garden.
13. Guides for local excursions and activities are provided with additional cost.
